Xbox One does not restrict used games and require internet access anymore!

It looks like Microsoft finally realized what needs to be done. The console will no longer require an internet access to play offline games and don't need to check every 24 hours; instead, the internet will only be required during the initial setup of the system.

"After a one-time system set-up with a new Xbox One, you can play any disc based game without ever connecting online again," Microsoft wrote. "There is no 24 hour connection requirement and you can take your Xbox One anywhere you want and play your games, just like on Xbox 360."

In addition to that, Xbox One will no longer restrict used games. Owners now has the full ability to sell or buy used games to anyone. Here is what Don Mattrick from Microsoft has to say:

"Since unveiling our plans for Xbox One, my team and I have heard directly from many of you, read your comments and listened to your feedback, I would like to take the opportunity today to thank you for your assistance in helping us to reshape the future of Xbox One. You told us how much you loved the flexibility you have today with games delivered on disc. The ability to lend, share, and resell these games at your discretion is of incredible importance to you. Also important to you is the freedom to play offline, for any length of time, anywhere in the world."

A lot of people says that what drives people away from Xbox One was the 24-hour online check and used game restriction. Now, Microsoft finally listened to the gamer's voices.

Those who will own Xbox One should no longer worry that they can't play when their internet connection is gone or have problems as well as to those who don't have internet connection at all (except for the initial setup). And giving the owners freedom to sell or lend their used games is a very good decision they made.

Currently, PS4 is outpacing Xbox One regarding pre-orders. Will this change of policies by Xbox One turn the tables for them? Will this change the minds of those who are planning to buy PS4 to get Xbox One instead? And will it make those people who pre-ordered PS4 regret?

We'll see what will happen in the coming days to come! I'll keep you all posted for more updates.
