Samurai Showdown II for Android and iOS

Samurai Showdown II is available on iOS and Android devices. SNK released the game last week. The game has 15 characters to choose from and in addition to the 4-button controls of the original, there’s now an optional 6-button layout and SP button that allow you to pull off strong slashes and special moves via the touch screen. What I like in this release is that it has a multiplayer mode using Bluetooth.

The game costs $9

Here are some screenshots of the game:

Proteus coming to PS3 and PS Vita

The award-winning adventure PC game Proteus by indie developers Ed Key and David Kanaga will be coming to the PS3 and PS Vita. The game is all about exploration, mystery, color, and sound.

Everything in Proteus is procedurally generated, which means that every time you play the game, everything will be different which makes the game more unique. The game plays through all four seasons before the end, and it’s nearly impossible to see everything in the game with one play through.
What's great with this game is that everything you encounter including different places has its own musical signature, so when you go to different island, the BGM will be different.

The game was said to arrive this autumn for the PS3 and PS Vita. Ill keep you all posted when a news arrives.

All I can say is I will buy this game on day one!

Mario Kart 8 release will be on April 2014?

A newsletter from Nintendo Europe states that Mario Kart 8 for the Wii U will be coming April next year (2014). Nintendo still isn't telling a word when gamers should expect the game and only gives out an attentive date which is 2014.

I'm sure many of you are now pissed because of this news since it is almost a full year after it was announced before the release. Maybe they need to polish or fix something in the game since there is a big change in Mario Kart 8 compared to the previous releases especially the physics of the game. Oh well, all we can do now is wait for the release. After all, it's better to wait a little longer than to have a crappy game.

I will keep you all posted about this game. Have a nice day!

Monster Takt, a monster-collection RPG for Android and iOS

Monster Takt, a monster-collecting RPG by Bravely Default: Flying Fairy makers Silicon Studio will be coming out for Android and iOS devices.

In Monster Takt, the world is desolated due to the revival of the Demon World which caused monsters which are good in nature have evil hearts and began to attack humans. The objective of the game is to calm down these affected monsters and control them with their mysterious takt. And the main goal is to defeat the Demon Lord by the help of the monsters you calmed down.

There are over 300 monsters in high quality 3D models with different attributes of Fire, Water, Wood, Light and Dark. The main concept of the game is making a team with strong monsters to help you in battlefield, just like in other monster-collecting games, each monster has their own weaknesses depending on their attributes, so the key to success is knowing your monster's attribute and knowing its strengths and weaknesses.

By collecting rubies, you can use them to evolve your monsters into much more powerful forms, although they will revert back to Lv. 01. In addition, you can also power up your monsters by using other monsters as ingredients, along with a certain amount of rubies.

Silicon Studio is currently offering a free rare monster, Lapin, for players who register prior to the game’s release. The above image is a Wood-attribute Lapin. There are also Fire, Water, Light and Dark variants.

The game is scheduled to be released this summer for Android devices. It will also be released to iOS devices but there is still no info on when it will be released. The game will be free-to-play with premium cash shop items.

Indie developer Corecell is working on a seide-scroller game called AeternoBlade. The game was said to be inspired by Castlevania, Muramasa, and Braid. The game has a time travel feature that allows the player to rewind time ad fix the errors that player have done which I think is quite cool.

The game is nearly completed, Corecell said that the game is already 90% done and will be released in japan once it is 100% completed and they acquired enough funds for the localization of the game. Regarding funds, Corecell launched an IndieGoGo campaign to collect enough money for their localization in Japan as well as overseas release in the US and Europe.

If you are interested in this game and are willing to help them, just click this link. Once everything has been settled, the game will be available for download at the Nintendo eShop for the nintendo 3DS.
